A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurahmonov, with the participation of the ministry's officials and heads of system organizations.
The strategic reforms promoted by our state serve as an important foundation for agriculture. In particular, this year, for the first time, foreign cotton varieties have been planted in our fields, and the practice of planting seeds under film using drip irrigation in a 76 scheme can serve as a clear example. The application of this agro-technology will yield high results not only for foreign varieties but also for local ones. Of course, continuing effective work is crucial. For the next year's harvest, practical work on planting foreign cotton varieties should start right now.
Today, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurahmonov, with the participation of ministry officials and heads of system organizations, and the focus was also placed on these issues. The meeting discussed in detail the key points to consider when planting foreign cotton varieties in the coming year. The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the established procedure for storing and processing seeds, ensuring that farms are provided with high-quality seeds, which will ultimately result in high cotton yields, and that these tasks must begin now. The Minister also gave necessary instructions on controlling processes related to seed processing, sorting, cleaning, laboratory analysis, packaging of prepared seeds, and their delivery to warehouses.
At the end of the meeting, it was instructed to develop an action plan for preparing foreign cotton seeds for planting in the country's fields next year, based on the discussed issues. The importance of cooperation and coordinated work was emphasized. Furthermore, it was noted that control over the process should not be limited to planting seeds but should also cover the entire process until the seeds sprout and grow. Most importantly, there should be a shift from paperwork to practical actions to ensure efficiency in the work. If the seeds are prepared according to established standards, farms will be provided with quality seeds, leading to uniform germination and high cotton yields.
