Cooperation with Australian scientists in the development of agricultural science

These days, a delegation of agricultural scientists, led by Shukhrat Otajonov, Director of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture, is on an official visit to Australia. The purpose of the trip is to study the breeding and seed production of new varieties in cotton and grain farming, the creation of genetically modified cotton varieties, as well as advanced innovative technologies in seed production and cultivation for their implementation in our country. Additionally, the aim is to introduce plant and crop species adapted to the Australian region into our country and to develop stress-resistant, stable, and high-quality varieties based on their research.

On the first working day of the visit, the delegation met with the management of the "Barenbrug" company, located in Brisbane, Australia, and reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of cooperation for conducting research in this field.

For reference: "Barenbrug" is one of the world's largest companies specializing in the development of new forage crop varieties, their seed production, and distribution.
