Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurahmanov inspected the area planted with "Chjun Tai-2" cotton variety in Sirdarya region.

      Many new agricultural projects are being implemented in agriculture today, including large-scale practical efforts to grow crops, harvest high-quality crops and conduct agrotechnical events for the autumn season. Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov is in the Syrdarya region to study these processes more closely. The first point of his visit was a 4,335-hectare cotton field owned by the Chinese joint venture Syrdarya Jingu.

      The foreign cotton variety "Chjun Tai-2" was planted on 1,500 hectares of this area. However, due to late irrigation, only 600 hectares were sown, while cotton in other areas has not yet matured. The reason for the delay in irrigation works was the late connection of the power supply necessary for irrigation equipment. This fact indicates the lack of attention of responsible persons to field work. It should be noted that the cotton harvest in several regions has not yet been harvested. Autumn precipitation can negatively affect the quality of the crop and complicate the harvesting processes.

      The Minister also visited a 50-hectare cotton field belonging to the Indorama cluster in Sardobinsky district. A Chinese variety of cotton was planted here, and despite the ripe harvest, work on its collection is still ongoing. According to the responsible persons, the late sowing operations postponed the start of the harvest somewhat. Taking into account the situation, the Minister gave instructions on the involvement of specialized equipment for the timely completion of harvesting in both fields before the start of precipitation.
