Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov is in the Kashkadarya Region

Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov is currently visiting the Kashkadarya region to familiarize himself with the results of the ongoing agricultural reforms and to learn about the work planned for the future. The next stop in his visit was to the “Indorama Agro” LLC in the Nishan district, a foreign company operating on 13,700 hectares of land. It is planned to plant cotton on 7,000 hectares for the 2025 harvest, and currently, 4,000 hectares of these fields are being leveled using a laser leveling technology. A working group, led by Minister Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov, visited the 1,600-hectare plot located near the Turkmenistan border, where laser leveling work has already been carried out on 1,400 hectares.

On the laser-leveled land, the plan is to plant a foreign variety of cotton, specifically Chinese cotton seeds, using the "76 scheme" under plastic for the 2025 harvest. The cotton will be cultivated using Chinese agro-technologies, and a full drip irrigation system will be implemented on these fields. Given the water scarcity for irrigation in Kashkadarya, Minister Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov provided recommendations on improving the efficiency of water-saving technologies.

During a conversation with representatives of the foreign company, the minister highly praised the effectiveness of the ongoing work. The working group was then briefed on the operation of all modern land leveling technologies and their innovative advantages.
