Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurahmanov visited Khorezm region in order to get acquainted with the consistency of reforms carried out in the field and their consequentialism

Minister of Agriculture, Chairman of the Cotton Board under the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurahmonov visited the Khorezm region in order to ensure the consistency of reforms carried out in the agrarian sector, to examine the preparation of agricultural facilities for the harvest season. The minister's visit was accompanied by the director of the National Center for knowledge and innovation in Agriculture, Secretary of the Cotton Board Shuhrat Otajonov. The first visit address of the minister was the field area of the farm "Matyokubov Akmal”, located in the “Tomodurgadik” area of the Khonka District of the region. Established in 2015, the farm specializes in cotton farming and grafting, with a total land area of 104.1 hectares. Of this, 58.8 hectares were cultivated with cotton, 40.3 hectares with wheat, 2.0 hectares with vegetable crops. The total cotton planted area of the farm, on the other hand, is 58.8 hectares and is being cared for by planting the salt-resistant local “intention” variety of cotton on the first contour and the “Khorezm-127” cotton variety on the second contour. The minister compared the local varieties planted side by side in the process of acquaintance with the current state of cotton varieties grown on farm field plots. As a result, despite the fact that the cotton variety “intention” on the first contour is planted without washing the brine of the Earth, it was found that the yield of cotton on the second contour is much higher than that of the “Khorezm-127” variety, which is washed and planted.

It should be noted separately that currently this “intention” cotton variety is planted as an experiment, which, since it is a local variety that is resistant to salt compared to other varieties, has been under constant control by specialists from the Cotton Science Council. Also, the peculiarity of this variety is that it has a high yield, and positive results are observed in cultivation in the Khwarezmian climate. At this time, cotton harvesting in the field areas of the farm is very intense. The head of the farm said that he plans to get a crop from the Khwarazm-127 variety of cotton from 40 centners per hectare, and from the “intention” cotton variety from 50 centners per hectare.

The next destination was the farm field "Vaisyoz Qakhramon”, located on the territory of “Tomodurgadik” of Khonka district. Here, the minister became closely acquainted with the activities of the cotton reception area of Urgench LLC” Urgench Cluster " and how the harvest season was prepared. The Working Group examined the stages of determining the level of preparation for the season and the conditions created here in this cotton reception area, the requirements and procedures of laboratory tests in the reception of cotton, and the quality indicators of cotton raw materials during the reception season of cotton this year.

In accordance with the visit program, the minister visited the farm field “Akhmad juma son”, located in the District of Koshkopir. The area was also surveyed by the Chinese salt-tolerant variety “Xin LuZao-78”. When the two fields are compared, it can be seen that the Indian variety is more resistant to salinity and has a higher yield compared to the Chinese variety. There was a slight change in the development process of the Chinese variety. Productivity gave the same result as expected. Crops are harvested from 40 centners per hectare. Focusing on the same aspects, the minister made his proposals to increase the yield by planting under the film as a joint in 76 schemes based on drip irrigation, as well as to develop advanced and modern agricultural agrotechnologies based on a scientific approach, to carry out their aprobation correctly and within its term.

The minister, who was at the Khorezm Pride farm located in the Bogolon region of the yangibazar district, in turn, examined the region and noted that, due to the consistent reforms carried out in the agrarian sector against the background of changes in the world, yesterday's experience was not in line with today, the full transfer of agricultural crops, in particular cotton, to drip irrigation
