In order to promptly monitor the effectiveness of the reforms carried out in the Fergana region in the field of cotton growing and the timely and high-quality implementation of the necessary agrotechnical measures in the fields sown with foreign cotton seeds, a visit was made by members of the council headed by the chairman of the council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cotton growing Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov to the Fergana region.
For reference, a total of 8,213 hectares (10.6% of the total cotton area) have been sown with imported seeds in the region. Members of the Cotton Growing Council first visited the Maison farm in the Yazvan district. Here, a foreign variety of cotton is planted both under film and in open ground according to the 76 cm scheme based on Chinese experience. The development phase of the variety is good, but given the number of seedlings (240 thousand seedlings / ha), it is especially noted that fertilizing with biopreparations should be carried out immediately.
Next comes the melon cooperative "Kadyrkhodzhi Rustam", created on the territory of the MFC "Karasakol" on the lands allocated for agriculture to the population, the farm "Bakhrombek" in the Uchtepa district, where the local variety "s-8290" for seeds was planted, the farm "Aslibek Baraka Fayz" in the Uchtepa district, where the Chinese variety "Geza" was planted, and the farm "Fergana LLC "Global Textile" became an agrocenter, created by a cotton and textile cluster enterprise. Also on the territory of the MFC "Kyiki" they got acquainted with the process of growing vegetables and melons, organized on household plots based on the experience of Saykhunabad.
The Chairman and members of the Council gave the necessary instructions on the work being carried out and to be carried out on caring for cotton. In particular, despite the fact that in the regions on cotton care, critical comments and explanations have been repeatedly expressed that the work carried out on cotton agricultural technology does not meet the requirements, that the cotton fields are currently in the shonization phase and are lagging behind in development, in most fields, weeding, mowing, increasing resistance to aphids and foliar feeding are carried out in the mass of development of Guzy. delay is emphasized.
After this, a meeting was held in the region on the development of investments in the agricultural sector, export, creation of new gardens, cotton agricultural technology, preparation for harvesting grain and other issues. At the meeting, reports were heard from responsible leaders of the region and members of the territorial working group of the Cotton Growing Council on the work currently being carried out, explanations were given on the shortcomings of maintaining notebooks on deep processing, cultivation, insect control and phenological observations for the purpose of good development of cotton.
