The procedure for picking seed cotton

Seed farms that produce seed cotton require strict adherence to the seed cotton picking procedure once an aprobation has been performed by a special commission. Seed cotton is picked from the first Cocoon cotton on 3-7 crop branches of the Acorn Bush. In this case, depending on the direction of the seeding farm, the seeding must be picked separately by generations (reproduction).

When picking seed cotton, at least 65-70% of bosoms should be opened in the field, and the Pickers involved in the picking should be introduced to the procedure for picking seed cotton. The acorns found by experts to be suitable for seed should be cleared of weeds and other varietal mixtures. It is allowed to pick seed cotton when 65-70% of the breasts open in the field.

Under the supervision of the agronomist of the agricultural sector, specialists of the Center for the development of Seed Production and the DUC inspectors of the "Center for the provision of services in the agro-industrial complex" under the “Uzagroinspeksiya”, the collection of Seed Cotton is obliged to be organized.  When picking seed cotton, it is forbidden to pick diseased, forcibly opened, Moss cotton, damaged by pest insects, located on the lower branches and from the 8th crop branch on the upper branches and far from the main Bush of the Acorn. One supervisor should be placed over every 10 pickers picking seed cotton. When picking seed cotton, the above cotton picking rules require a complete roia.
