The activity of the Center for Agricultural Innovation and Training, a situational center for regular monitoring and management of acreage of cotton varieties imported from abroad, has commenced. The center was established at the Scientific Research Institute of Breeding, Seed Production, and Agrotechnologies for Cotton Cultivation.
According to Decree No. 391 of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, titled "On Additional Measures to Develop Seed Production in Cotton Cultivation and Increase Cotton Yield," cotton production in the republic corresponds to 10 parts of cotton areas owned by farmers. As part of the implementation of three decisions, groups of 40 permanent officials have been formed in each region to conduct daily monitoring of these areas.
The purpose of the Agro-Innovation and Training Center is to organize the continuous development of economic processes and to provide training and retraining for cluster agronomists. This includes executing tasks, centralizing operations, modernizing the cotton industry, and improving the quality and productivity of fiber production.
